  • I found out that I’m not worthless.

  • I liked this program because it will help me in my future. As I get older, I will memorize this moment when I accomplish my goals.

  • I would rather wait till I get married then I’ll have sex and do something else and live my life free.

8th Grade Students:

  • This week has made an impact on me. The lessons that were taught and the words/meanings discussed were a very big inspiration to me. This week I will be leaving with inspiration to keep moving on with my life, and do something very big. The lessons have made me want to be a better person, to respect myself, my parents, and to be a better friend…

  • To be honest, Miss King got me motivated. The activities got me to understand a lot of things in reality now a day in life. Everybody in life needs someone to be there for them and motivate them. So I thank her and her partner. Thank y'all for teaching me the stuff I knew I had to do. Thank you for also teaching me the opposite, things we’re not supposed to do. I know what my picture is and thank you both for reminding me. I will take the blindfold off to accomplish my goals.

  • This class has helped me realize that I am a lot more valuable than what I thought I was.

  • Made me realize my goals. And future was important and don’t change for other people. I was made to be different.

  • This week I have learned a lot. I’ve learned that if I really put an effort into my future and the life I live I will succeed.

  • I learned that I am important and that my life matters.

  • I will remember not to let the people in my life right now dictate how my future plans out. I will stay focused and reach my dreams.

  • This week changed me because I know that I don’t have to follow the crowd. You don’t have to be what others think you should. Dare to be different.

  • This class has taught me a little bit more of making decisions in life. I will be respectful, and think of my decisions before I do it. Because now I know the decisions I make now will affect me later.

  • I am going to walk out of here with more respect.

  • This week impacted me because now I know not to let people change who I am just because I get embarrassed.

  • That I have responsibilities and that I have to keep my picture and to not listen to the people that have told me I can’t do it and that I have integrity

  • I’ve taken away that you have to choose your friends wisely and choose who help you and not hurt yourself, and make you make bad decisions. You should always have friends that influence you in the right way not wrong. I also have taken away how you have to take responsibility for your actions.

  • Last year I made a decision that has affected me on so many levels… My family don’t have the best reputation… I don’t want people to think I’m gonna be like my parents were growing up, I want to be something better, and y’all helped.
